SELECTED ZONE IS ALREADY TAKEN FIXED! CONNECT WHOGOHOST DOMAIN TO BLOGSPOT

Welcome back to Naira Techs Blog, right now I will explain vividly how to without stress connect and map your newly bought domain from Whogohost to your Blogspot or blogger blog. Be informed that this isn’t just a regular post to mapping the domain to blogger the issue now is its a little difficult I guess whogohost changed their new style of adding and accessing their domain dns manager, right now on whogohost if you buy a domain of any extension you centainly going to need the entering of your hosting internet I.P so imagine using a free blog service like Blogger you need the blogger I.P to be able to start mapping your domain.

WHAT IS THE DEFAULT DNS IP ZONE FOR WHOGOHOST DOMAIN?

Whogohost got a Origin DNS IP to activate your newly bought domain which is 174.129.25.170 so enter it in the IP address field, and please try this first your dns zone should be accessible with that. 

HOW TO FIX THE SELECTED DNS ZONE IS ALREADY TAKEN! 

if you get a message that says ” The Selected Zone Is Already Taken ” here are stuffs you can surely do

1. You should reload the webpage and try again, if it doesn’t work log out and log in back. If that didn’t work try this,

2. Google search for ” WWWIZER IP ” to find your naked domain IP address or visit wwwizer page to see your present IP address once you see it go ahead and try it and see if it works if it doesn’t the assured fixing of the problem is number 3

Contact Whogohost on Instagram and send them a direct mail about the issue, I faced the issue of ” the selected dns zone is already taken ” I fixed mine via chatting with whogohost team on Instagram, here’s whogohost Instagram page Instagram@whogo.host , immediately message them response is within minutes. I dropped prove of my chat with whogohost on Instagram about the issue and how they fixed the issue within minutes of me doing nothing about it below 

HOW TO CONNECT AND REDIRECT WHOGOHOST DOMAIN TO BLOGSPOT BLOGGER BLOG 

1.

 Go or login to blogger home dashboard, tap the settings option scroll and click on custom domain beneath the blogger sub-domain address and enter your correct url with ” www ” don’t enter https://, http:// nor the domain url alone without www for example it should be in this format ” www.nairatechs.com “. 

2. Tap save below an error message will display its totally normal you need to do something important, the error message carries two CNAMEs which will be needed in the dns manager of whogohost.

Go to your whogohost domain portal and select dns manager, your domain zone will open which we have fixed from the beginning of this post.

Click and fill as seen in the screenshot above, now its tone to enter the dns records that will link your domain to blogger, first you need to add 4 A-Records

⏹️NAME = @     TYPE = A     TTL = 14400     RDATA = 216.239.32.21

⏹️NAME = @     TYPE = A     TTL = 14400     RDATA = 216.239.34.21

⏹️NAME = @     TYPE = A     TTL = 14400     RDATA = 216.239.36.21

⏹️NAME = @     TYPE = A     TTL = 14400     RDATA = 216.239.38.21

After adding this 4 A-RECORDS, which will make your domain redirect automatically then save. 

Now you need to add the two CNAMEs you saw on blogger I will give you an example because I can’t possibly drop mine so any of you guys will claim my Domain lol. The two CNAMEs format below :

⏹️NAME = WWW     TYPE = CNAME     TTL = 14400     RDATA = ghs.google.com [ this is correct it’s the first cname to add its the same for everyone ]. And lastly, 

⏹️NAME = t8ugr7yadebj     TYPE = CNAME     TTL = 14400     RDATA = gv-ydsylng9edfcvh.dv.googlehosted.com [ this is just a format on how it’s going to be you will find your own NAME and RDATA on blogger ] save your work when done. 

When you finish entering all records, go back to blogger blog and tap save if you entered the CNAMEs correctly it will be accepted and no error will be displayed. Now remember to turn on redirect and turn on https availability. After some minutes your blog will be live on the internet.
